Years ago there was a website that pioneered indy music called The Internet Underground Music Archive (IUMA). Among the thousands of musicians and bands that had created profiles and uploaded music, I found many that I still enjoy to this day. Among them were four wonderful songs by Anton Shmerkin. I recently thought to search his name on Facebook, and there he was!

Ironically, he asked me if I could send him the MP3’s because he no longer had them and hadn’t heard them for years! Now he has given me permission to share the music with my friends, or whoever else might find it.

Anton presents a complete experience with one guitar and one voice. His voice is expressive, well controlled and delightfully quirky, while the songs are melodic and sassy over snappy, expertly played rhythm guitar. Anton wants anyone to download and enjoy his wonderful songs.
